The mission of the Camporee is to provide Scouts and Scouters with a fun filled experience that will open minds to a new world of everlasting adventures.
Welcome to the 1st Newo/ Pathfinder AIRZOO Camporee. On behalf of the staff I would like to extend an invitation to all Scouts, Scouters and friends within the World Brotherhood of Scouting to attend and be part of this wonderful Camporee experience. The dates for this Camporee of Fun and Action Packed Adventure are October 14-16, 2005. New/Path Camporee is being held at the New AIRZOO located in Portage, MI just south I-94 Next to the Kalamazoo Airport.
There will be Airplane rides, full run of the New AIRZOO, including a fleet of full motion Flight simulators, 3d space shuttle simulator, 4d Missions theater, amusement park rides, Worlds largest hand painted Mural not to mention 80 rare airplanes like the SR-71b Blackbird and P-40 Flying Tiger. We will also offer Aviation Merit Badge, Astronomy Merit Badge and to build and launch Rocket.
Cost for the Camporee is $15 / Scout and $5 / Scouter (Add $5 for supplies if you want to build and launch a Rocket). This includes everything except your food and how you get to the site and home again. We are always looking to maintain the price a low as possible while providing the best activities and experience for your Troop. Act Quick, we may be limited to how many plane rides can be given, cut off may be 200 depending on the number of planes available to the EAA for the Camporee. Plane rides will be scheduled on a first come first serve basis.
